Introduction
Hot plate welding is widely used for the most challenging materials and large part assembly with high strength and hermetic requirements. During the hot plate welding, both part halves are held rigidly in position against/ near a thermally heated platen to melt the joining surfaces. The materials are then quickly separated from the heated source and driven together and allowed to re-solidify under pressure.

Working Method of the machine   There are four optional working modes:

  1. Automatic mode
    1. Handy loading the parts by the operator
    2. Step “parts clamp” paddle
    3. Cylinders and vacuum pads clamp the parts
    4. Sensors confirm the parts in right position
    5. Press “cycle start” button
    6. Door closing
    7. Hot plate forward movement
    8. Upper jig descent and lower jig ascent to heating position
    9. Heating
    10. Upper jig ascent and lower jig descent to resting position
    11. Hot plate return movement
    12. Upper jig descent and Lower jig ascent to welding position
    13. Cooling, upper jig release clamping
    14. Upper jig descent and Lower jig ascent to resting position
    15. Door open, and lower jig release clamping
    16. Cycle finish
    17. Welded part unloading from lower jig
  2. Manual mode
    1. Able to run all the functions mentioned in automatic mode, without following the complete sequence.
    2. Some functions are limited if any other element is not in safety position.
  3. Jig loading mode
    1. Push upper and lower jig into machine, upper and lower jig are close together.
    2. Press start button in “Jig loading” mode
    3. Door close
    4. Sensor confirm jigs position
    5. Machine clamp lower jig by cylinders
    6. Upper mounting plate descent, lower mounting plate ascent
    7. Machine clamp upper jig by cylinders
    8. Upper mounting plate ascent, lower mounting plate descent
    9. Door open
    10. Jig loading finish
  4. Jig unloading mode
    1. Unplug air tubes on upper jig
    2. Press start button in “Jig unloading” mode
    3. Sensor confirm air tubes are unpluged
    4. Door close
    5. Upper mounting plate descent, lower mounting plate ascent
    6. Machine unlock upper jig by cylinders
    7. Upper mounting plate ascent, lower mounting plate descent
    8. Machine unlock lower jig by cylinders
    9. Door open
    10. Jig unloading finish
